When Kristin moved to New York City from Pocatello, Idaho, in 1994 to pursue a career in acting, she never imagined she'd end up a fitness celebrity.
While attending New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, she discovered yoga, which was taught at school for breath control and proper alignment. After studying yoga with some of the world's most renowned instructors, Kristin created her own style that was an instant hit for its upbeat, refreshingly hip approach. In addition to her yoga certification, Kristin is also certified to teach Pilates -- two disciplines that she feels are complimentary, and that work well with other forms of exercise and sports.
In 2003, Kristin was asked to choreograph and instruct the first MTV Yoga video, which she followed up with three additional fitness titles for the music video channel: MTV Power Yoga, MTV Pilates and MTV Pilates Mix. Kristin has appeared on Good Morning America, CNN Headline News, Fox's Good Day New York, Tyra Banks Show and NBC's Today Show as a fitness consultant and has been on the covers of Pilates Style and Fit Yoga magazines. She has also been in Self, InStyle, Shape, Fitness and Women's Health as a contributing editor and/or fitness model.
Kristin's success as the MTV fitness guru brought her stars and athletes as clients. When she's not teaching at select health clubs in Manhattan, Kristin spreads her yoga and Pilates discipline to schools and community centers in the New York City area. She volunteered at the winter Olympics in 2002 as well as the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and Self Workout in the Park.
Recently, Kristin has turned her attention to a younger audience with the production of her own DVD, Bendigirl Yoga, which targets "tweens" and teens. The DVD provides a fun and approachable way to enjoy this ancient spiritual practice while helping viewers ground themselves and realize the positive virtues of yoga. Additionally, she has produced Kristin McGee's Power Yoga, which provides a fun and energetic yoga session for of all ages.

After exploring North America by motorcycle as a young teen, Duncan Wong came full circle back to his Northern California roots. There he sought solace from modern life in the Sierra wilderness, connecting with Native American cultures and spending time on American Indian reservations.
In his late teens, Duncan began studying yoga, which led him to Buddhist sword master Kwahn Jang Nym of the Kuk Sool Won martial arts family in San Francisco. After a decade of pilgrimages to the jungles of southern India and of study with Master K. P. Jois of Mysore, Master Jois authorized Duncan to teach ashtanga vinyasa yoga, a powerful method that involves synchronizing breathing and motion with a specific series of classical postures. The flowing circular harmony, known in the Kuk Sool Won method as Won Hwa, was in keeping with Duncan’s own training and formed the basis of his synthesized method. From Master Su, Duncan received his black-belt teaching degrees and lifelong Buddhist influence.
Duncan is also certified in the Jivamukti method, a psycho-kinetic yoga method that stresses source teachings from the Vedic texts and other teachings of the ancient mystery schools. He attributes his asana-goddess connection to Sharon Gannon and David Life of the Jivamukti Yoga Center in New York City.
He draws his vital kundalini-shakti-pat, or awakened source energy, from master Sri Gurumayi of the Siddha yoga tradition.
After researching and exploring Thai and shiatsu healing methods, Duncan created Yogic Arts, a synthesis of yoga, martial arts, and massage. The celebrated performing artists who are his students and life mentors reflect his devotion to the arts and have helped mold his style of excellence and empowerment.
Duncan now lives in Shanghai, China, where he teaches students from around the world. As the only authorized resident ashtanga vinyasa teacher in China, Duncan has his own studio in Shanghai called Namaste Yoga Shala. His passion for the Japanese culture and community are expressed through his work at his mother base, Studio+Lotus8 in Tokyo.

Elaine Petrone learned about pain—and pain relief—the hard way. She was on her way to realizing her dream of becoming a professional dancer and choreographer when she suffered a leg injury that led to debilitating chronic back pain. She tried every kind of conventional therapy, from orthopedists to chiropractors. Nothing worked, and most experts recommended that she stop dancing. As her leg withered to half its former size, she desperately sought out alternative practitioners. Some were dancers, others were students of Elsa Gindler, a teacher in Germany who understood the power of body awareness to release muscle tension and restore health and well-being. Elaine began incorporating what she learned from others with her own reading on reducing muscle tension, including sources going back a hundred years. Eventually, she combined all that she had learned from her experience healing herself and hundreds of others into the Elaine Petrone Method.
For the past 30 years, Elaine has taught extensively to groups and individuals interested in pain relief as well as stress reduction, post-operative recovery, and body awareness. She has taught and lectured to physicians, physical therapists, and psychotherapists on her findings; researched lower back and upper body pain at Mt. Vernon Hospital, New York; and been involved with post-operative recovery programs at the Rehabilitation Center of Southwestern Connecticut. She is currently program coordinator of the Health and Fitness Institute at the Tully Health Center, Stamford, Connecticut. This DVD and 2-ball kit uses Elaine's unique techniques to relieve tension and pain in the lower back. 54 Min.
She has also developed a national certification program in ball therapy that she teaches in Stamford.
